We built Gitte because we wanted something simple: a place for European code to live in European, under European law.

For years, European developers and companies have relied on platforms built elsewhere, even when it meant sending their code across borders and legal systems. We believed there should be another way: a Git platform that feels local, familiar, and aligned with European values—privacy, transparency, and sovereignty.
